Darwin Day 2014: Live In Dothan! Dr. Susan Haack, PhD "Religion, Evolution and the U.S. Constitution"

In honor of Darwin Day 2014 the SouthEast Alabama Freethought Association (SEAFA) presents a free lecture and book-signing by Professor Susan Haack, Ph.D. The lecture is titled “Religion, Evolution and the U.S. Constitution” and will be held at Troy University’s Dothan Campus in Sony Hall on Friday, Feb. 21 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.

Prof. Haack (B.A., M.A., B.Phil, Oxford; Ph.D., Cambridge) is Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, Cooper Senior Scholar in Arts and Sciences, Professor of Philosophy, and Professor of Law, University of Miami. Her work ranges from philosophy of logic and language, epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, Pragmatism—both philosophical and legal—and the law of evidence, especially scientific evidence, to social philosophy, feminism, and philosophy of literature.

A very limited number of her books including “Defending Science – Within Reason” and “Putting Philosophy to Work” will be on sale for cash or check only. She will also sign any of her books attendees bring. 

SEAFA is a local 501(c)(3) public educational charity designed to provide educational opportunities to residents of southeast Alabama primarily regarding the Constitutional principle of Church/State Separation and the theory of evolution through natural selection. SEAFA works to promote secularism and freethought and in the process provides opportunities for socializing, networking, and friendship.
