The Fairness for All Marylanders Act of 2013 was considered by the Senate Committee on Judicial Proceedings, but received an "unfavorable report" in that it failed on a vote of 5-6. The Act would have provided protection against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Here is the link to the bill:
The Baltimore Ethical Society voted to take a position in favor of this bill in March and continues to support the issue. We will be phone banking with Equality Maryland on August 5th. See the event posting by Lucas McCahill. BES and the LGBTQ HC of Baltimore would welcome help from the Secular Coalition for Maryland.
