Center for Inquiry–Michigan

The mission of Center for Inquiry (CFI) is to foster a secular society based on science, reason, freedom of inquiry, and humanist values.

Center for Inquiry–Michigan is a state branch of Center for Inquiry. Central to our mission is developing a vibrant secular community throughout Michigan to allow atheists, agnostics, humanists, skeptics, and other freethinkers to share life-enriching experiences, offer mutual support, engage in community service, and work to end the stigma attached to being a nonbeliever.

CFI–Michigan hosts a wide variety of events including educational lectures, discussion groups, community service projects and various social events such as Skeptics in the Pub, annual Secular Summer Retreats and Solstice Dinners. We host events in 7 different locations across Michigan. Visit our event calendar to learn more about our upcoming events.

We promote reason, science, and church/state separation to counter the influence of religion and pseudoscience in public policy, and to defend the values, interests, and civil rights of nonreligious citizens.
